I posted this photo to social media and captioned it, "Many kids need someone encouraging them to explore their various talents. By Fisher Talent Group scouting marginalized youth football players, we promote this idea of investigation. Seeing us on a sideline encourages much because it proves that someone thinks you're worthy of talent. One might not be the "best" at football, but you're a salesman, writer, painter, artist, businessman, etc. Countless outlets exist to process your emotions, desires and make sense of the world. Most importantly, you're talented in numerous ways and can do beautiful things while improving the world. Fisher Talent Group promotes this idea through the simple mission of scouting. We're nothing complicated and highly impactful."
I meant it. Yes, we are a football organization, but the simplicity of discovering and promoting youth players in rural Africa who would otherwise go unnoticed forges "investigation," "talent identification," and belief in our and each other's abilities. Imagine a life where we pursue this full-on. This shift leads to "purpose," "happiness," and "joy"—most importantly, it is peace, harmony, and a better "tomorrow." I reiterate to myself (when pondering the collective world), "We are here, this is "now," and together, we can." As I say, "Talent is around the corner," so is "change."
