I frequently think about the English Premier League (England's top football division) and Aston Villa Football Club (the unexpected challenger for this year's title) currently having a "top four" ranking. I think about how analysts, journalists, etc., expect them to slip by the season's end, fall off, and lose the championship. However, I am different—I envision them "being there"—challenging and even winning the title.
At Fisher Talent Group, cynicism is not an option; we belong among "change" as Aston Villa belongs among the title contenders. Yes, I am a realist. However, I am not a pessimist, and my clarity for "seeing things as they are" drives "facing reality to change it." This core belief of Fisher Talent Group is optimism. You cannot be optimistic without first recognizing reality. It is about noticing what "is" to build what "becomes."
Our goal for a thousand-plus player perpetual database is not the dream of an "idealist" but the vision of a "believer." As mentioned, our optimism is rooted in seeing things for how they are so we can change them for how we want.
